Boring, Not Boring

I was thinking this morning, “What does one blog about when they have nothing going on?” Then it hit me, “That!” So here is my boring blog post….

I guess I should clarify that my life isn’t actually boring. My day to day is pretty much a snooze fest compared to those with toddlers, or my fellow authors that can spend their days bounding out the words, or those who’s day jobs are more glamorous than mine but all in all my life is far from boring if I’m being completely honest.

My husband and I just got back from a small trip to Puerto Los Cabos. My husband is so kick ass he was offered this trip and I was lucky enough to get to tag along. We spent 2 1/2 days there living it up and soaking in the fun with fellow sales people. We stayed at the Secrets resort in Los Cabos and it was absolutely beautiful! It’s a wonderful place if all you really want to do is golf and drink by the pool because there’s no swimming in the ocean because of the current and it’s too deep and the resort is actually 20 minutes from downtown Los Cabos and 40 minutes from Cabo San Lucas but it was still a lot of fun and hubby and I got to experience the full package I like to believe.  Here’s a couple pics just to give you an idea….

Once we returned it was back to normal for us or actually it was catching up on laundry, cleaning the house, and our day jobs which means I’ve had zero time to blog, take pics, or write which has left me a little blah. I will be trying to get back into my groove within the next week or so.

In other news the day job has been a bit stressful lately for me as well as my hubby. You’d think we do the same things and in a way we do but his work is definitely more stressful than mine. I can leave work at work but hubby’s goes with him everywhere. So we’ve been trying to destress which proves a tad difficult but we did manage to see Logan on Saturday and let me just say that movie is not for the faint of heart. Get ready for some blood shed and make sure you have tissues handy.

My girls are the usual. M has brought up her Math grade which is awesome and has decided to do marching band her freshman year. I’m ecstatic to say the least although I know this means more football games and more driving but I’m happy to do it. She’s got a solo coming up in a couple weeks as well that she’ll be judged on so my fingers are crossed on that one. A has been her normal self but lately she’s writing more and more. I can’t seem to keep up with all her notebooks. I have to buy her news ones constantly. I’m happy she’s diving into it though.

Other than that my teens are being teens. You know, Xbox, phone, laptops, etc. Now that my girls are with us every weekend we drag them out one day to get them out in the sunlight and away from the tv and computer then my husband and I have a day to ourselves to try and balance it out. A post on this later.

I’ve also got our trip to Savannah, GA pretty much planned. We are really looking forward to this trip and I can’t wait to share it with you all!

Oh yeah and this is my birthday month so I’ll be the big 35 at the end of the month. I’d like to say that I’m excited but I’m kind of meh about this one. I’ll post more on that later as well.

A pretty long post for boring huh? Thanks for reading about my boring/not boring life.
